Snow and weather conditions look favorable to have our classes outside on December 19 and 20. Students will need snow pants and coat, gloves/mittens, hat, and snow boots. Participation is expected so please be sure your children are prepared!
COLLEGE GUIDANCE
TESTING
The January 21 SAT has a registration deadline of December 21. This is the last testing opportunity for seniors applying to college for the fall of 2017.

PSAT SCORES
10th and 11th graders will be able to access their PSAT scores beginning December 12. Students should receive an email with directions on how to view their scores. Paper copies of their scores will be delivered to the students on December 15.   A college night to explain these scores and the college counseling process will be held on Mon., Jan. 9 at 7:00 pm.

STUDENT LIFE

LTSounds - Instrumental and Choral
Thursday, December 15 at 6:30 pm
Students who take band and chorus classes will delight the audience with their musical offerings. Students are asked to stay after school on Thursday to allow for an afternoon tech rehearsal in the theater. Once tech rehearsal has finished (around 5:30), students will eat dinner.  Middle School performers should wear black or dark dress pants or skirt, white dress shirt or top and red accent (i.e. tie, belt, scarf). Black dress shoes with black socks/stockings. Upper School performers should wear black dress pants/skirt, dress shirt/top of any solid color and dress shoes. 


GRADE LEVEL TRIP PAYMENTS DUE DECEMBER 15
The next payment for the grade level trip is due on Dec. 15. Checks should be made payable to Long Trail School and handed to Kim Murphy.

  • 12:30 - All buses depart.  There are no 3:00 buses.  All students are expected to depart at this time.

Interested students can now apply for the Governor's Institute Winter Weekends happening either Feb. 10-12 or Feb. 24-26.  Find the list of institute topics and more information at www.giv.org/winter.

  • CLOTHING DRIVE FOR RUTLAND COUNTY HEAD START PROGRAM  Please donate gently used, outgrown or new items to this cause! Collection bins in Long Trail’s Main Entrance. If you have questions, please contact Jill Burke at or 802-867-5717 x148.
  • SECOND CHANCE ANIMAL SHELTER  Donate pet bedding and toys to make shelter animals comfy and happier. Collection bins in Long Trail’s Main Entrance. If you have questions, please contact senior Bailey O'Donnell.
  • BOX TOPS  Please cut out and collect pink BoxTops for Education from grocery products. drop them off in an envelope or plastic bag (not loose) and we can redeem them for money for the school. Deadline for the current collection is FEBRUARY.
