Here's what Matt's* father wants you to know this holiday season...

"We were having difficulty getting special services for our son, Matt. You were able to get him these services from his school district. Without you, Matt would not be graduating High School with a Regents Diploma, or at all. We will always be grateful to you and we always think about you, especially this time of year.

I'd like to give you just a brief summary of Matt's progress after you procured services for him. After looking at different special schools, we decided on one. This is his 5th year there (we were able to get him one additional year of high school) and it has been a pleasure working with the Special Services coordinator for the high school. We had travails, getting Matt to take a bus, getting him to become a border, trying to get him back to school after the weekend, etc.

Matt is now 18, and while it kills me that he wears a beard, he is an 'A' student who is interested in everything. He's especially good at foreign languages and math. He also loves and is quite good at art, especially cartooning and ceramics.

I could go on and on about Matt, especially with you, since you are responsible for helping him to get what he needed so that he can be the successful, happy person he is now. He is now looking at colleges!

I just wanted to let you know that we haven't forgotten what you did for our family. We sincerely wish you and your loved ones a very Happy Holiday Season and a healthy New Year."
