i-Tree Then and Now

i- Tree Species Icon
In 2016, the i-Tree team made many changes to the i-Tree tools and website including updating Eco, Landscape, and Hydro. Along with those changes to the tools, website content was updated including manuals, guides, and videos. We have also been making some changes to the website structure so that it is streamlined and user friendly.

As we close out 2016, there are two new tools available, Species and MyTree. i-Tree Species is a web application that is designed to help users select the most appropriate tree species based on geographic area and the species' potential environmental services. MyTree is an app for smartphones and tablets that is run on the i-Tree Design system and is used to calculate individual tree benefits.

We have also just released i-Tree 2017 (v6.1.15) which includes updates and new reports in Eco. If you have the software suite on your computer, you can update by clicking on the Update Software button under the Support tab in Eco, or by selecting the Check for Updates option under Help in other applications.

As we move into 2017, there are updates we are planning to implement for several of the i-Tree tools including Eco, Hydro, and Landscape. We will also be continuing to work on updating the website. We are excited about what the new year has in store for i-Tree as we work to bring you improved assessment tools based on peer reviewed science.

The sessions typically feature demonstrations, presentations and discussion designed to help participants become familiar with the i-Tree tools and provide a foundation for further learning. Pre-registration is required to participate.
