  • Pick up a free copy of the 13th Annual Hillsboro Water Department Conservation Calendar, created by Hillsboro elementary school students. Visit the third floor of the Hillsboro Civic Center to receive your copy.
  • Looking for a New Year’s Resolution? Find five ways to value our high-quality water supply.
  • Avoid freezing and bursting water pipes with simple preventative steps.
  • Thanks to the outstanding generosity of Hillsboro Public Library patrons, staff, and volunteers, the Library collected 164 coats, 116 hats, 34 pairs of mittens and gloves, and 27 scarves for the SOS Shelter at Orenco Station.
  • Weather-related City facilities closures and event cancellations are announced online at Hillsboro-Oregon.gov or the City's Twitter page.
  • Washington County continues construction work at the Brookwood & Evergreen and Brookwood & Huffman signals. Drivers will see temporary lane closures through January 1 and may experience some delays until vehicle-detection installation is complete in mid-January.
  • Help the Port of Portland update the Hillsboro Airport Master Plan by serving on the Planning Advisory Committee. Apply online by January 15.
  • Beginning next week, the Happening in Hillsboro e-newsletter will be emailed on the first and third Wednesday of each month.
