Competition Winner to be Announced!

Our contest winner will be announced in HiFi's January issue! Look for it in Alan's editorial!

It Came from Space

The System Enhancer is truly space-age technology. Back then, NASA was having problems with electronics up in space, where things would fail for unknown reasons. Later on, their engineers came up with an idea that boiled down to: "why don't we set up some software that runs a stress-test on our electronics over and over to detect possible failures?"

The concept, the more I learned about it, spoke to me and I wondered how this could apply to audio.  The idea of stress-testing a complete system, so that you knew it would not fail and worked together as a harmonious whole, appealed to me. So, I developed one for audio, based around frequency rate and amplitude. Of course, within six months, you began to see similar products in the industry.

We still make the System Enhancer, today. It is available in most any format, just for your system. Just ask one of our dealers.

2016 in Review

2015 has been a great year here at Purist. Here's from our scrapbook!

AXPONA

Purist Audio was fortunate to present at AXPONA this year. Bill Wells from Stereo Times described the room as: "super smooth, totally relaxed and effortless with a very neutral tonal balance." Jason Serinus of Stereophile wrote: "The Tidal/Bricasti/Aurender/Purist system also excelled in playing a large-voiced operatic soprano without getting harsh and bright. I couldn't believe it when Doug next turned to another cliché, Chris Jones' 'No Sanctuary Here,' but when I heard the individual background voices emerge distinctly from what always has sounded on previous occasions like a congealed, rumbling mass, I could totally appreciate how good this system was."

AVShowrooms is known for their video reviews, and was kind enough to come by. Check out the link for one of their many videos.

Capital Audio Fest in D.C.

Always a great show in Capital. Check out the latest from Part-Time Audiophile! Scott Hull wrote:

My thought, listening? Wrap it up. I’ll take the whole lot. This was easily one of the very best rooms at this show.

Also, a big thank you AVShowrooms for their Gold Show Award! It's a pleasure to get to show with such great people and innovators.

Newport Beach Audio Show!

Newport Beach broke attendance records this year! It was a great tribute to its founder, Richard. Richard was a man who was larger than life in personality and accomplishments. Still, we like to think he was there with us in spirit.

Gary Barker shares words about this year's show, and some photos on his article, check them out here.

RMAF in Colorado!

We had a great time at RMAF this year! If you haven't, check out this review by The Absolute Sound, or AVShowroom.

"Purist Audio Design’s 30th Anniversary is a year of great maturity and extremely good products, if the USB cable is anything to go by. This is a cable that does all the right things for computer music. Very highly recommended."

This year, Jim was honored to contribute to Positive Feedback Online's survey on audio cable technology. Thank you! It's always a pleasure getting to work with others in the industry.

Looking for something special for the holidays? Our Impresa headphone cable received this review from Headphone Guru! He writes: "Instruments had more air and space within the stage. Treble response was more precise, clean and harsh free. Cymbals and percussion instruments had more shimmer.  Bass instruments had more definition and the soundstage had better imaging. Vocals were more articulate and lifelike."
