At this time of the year I always like to reflect on the things I've done and experienced during the year. Again, it was a highly energetic one (I can't help myself!), filled with amazing trips to Isle of Skye, Isle of Gigha, Lake District and also abroad to Valencia, Geilo and Oslo (you can read a trip report from this city on my
blog). I have also been busy creatively.

Learning new art skills
Earlier this year I signed up for
Anne Shirron's papercut workshop. I loved it and still enjoy it as I'm currently working on a commission. My biggest surprise came when the Woodend Barn asked me permission to use my design for their new sign. To see it up there on such a large scale is really fabulous and a great honour!
In Summer I attended a workshop at Bridge House Art in Ullapool. It was called Alchemy and not without a reason! You can read more about that
here.
NEOS
This year I had the opportunity to exhibit my work at the Woodend Barn. It was the most wonderful experience. You can read more about that
here.
Other exhibitions
In August and in October I exhibited a selection of my work at ArtAboyne and Art in the Park in Banchory for the very first time. I met lovely visitors and artists and even sold a few pieces!
New art studio?
I'm very fortunate that I have my own little studio I can work from. Unfortunately it's becoming too small. I'm now looking for a new studio to rent in the countryside (Banchory, Drumoak, Durris, Aboyne, Echt, Kemnay) where I could store my materials, work from, run exhibitions and open studios from and organise workshops in. The space should have water supply, a sink, a toilet, heating and enough insulation for the heat to stay in. I know it won't be easy to find this but should you, or anyone you know, have something suitable then I'd love to hear from you!
Merry Christmas
Last but not least, I would like to thank you for your support during 2016 and wish you a wonderful festive season. I look forward to keeping you informed in the new year!
