Thank You & Happy Holidays!

As 2016 comes to a close, we at Project by Project New York are both grateful for the amazing year we've had and excited to see what 2017 will bring.  This year we've had many challenges and opportunities, but through it all we've been awed by the support we've seen from the community.  Without your support, we could not continue working toward our vision of an empowered Asian American community.

The holidays are a time to celebrate, reflect on and cherish what we have.  We know many are still reeling and hurting from the results of the election and the ongoing aftermath.  We hope that you'll take this time to care for yourself and your loved ones.  Next year will be Project by Project's 20th anniversary and we will not be selecting a new theme and partner.  But, know that we are here for you.  Next year will be an opportunity to re-examine our strategy on how to best engage our community but also to make ourselves available to the most vulnerable pockets of our community.

Project by Project's mission is more relevant than ever and we are energized to work deeply within the community next year.  There is a lot of uncertainty at the moment but if we stand together and look out for each other, there's no doubt we will emerge a stronger, more unified community (and country).

Warm wishes,
Project by Project NY

Don't miss our holiday party at the beautiful LeGrande Lounge this Friday!  Join us as we celebrate this past year and look forward to 2017!

Holiday Eats

If you're looking for a bite with loved ones during the holiday season, consider one of the restaurants that did our seated tastings at Plate by Plate!

Carma East is celebrating their grand opening with a 20% discount starting today through December 18th.  Brought to you by the Executive Chef of Taiwan's renowned Din Tai Fung and a young sister of West Village's beloved Carma Asian Tapas, Carma East is a brand new pop-art dim sum bar in East Village that focuses on both authentic and creative Chinese/Taiwanese cuisine.

The much awaited Raw NYC is now open in the West Village!  Raw is an experience in what is essential in food. With a seasonal menu, Chef Vincent Chirico & Chef Marco Arnold showcase raw and mindfully heated dishes which show restraint, mastery, and most important; flavor. Low on gluten and dairy, Raw provides a progressive menu in an interactive and communal setting.

Or if you're running around doing last minute holiday shopping, grab a bite at Chef Chris Jaeckle's Uma Temakeria.  Their two locations serve a delicious and fresh menu of made-to-order sushi hand rolls, providing a healthy—and tasty—alternative to fast food. Customers can choose from a chef's selection of items, or create their own from a colorful array of sustainably-sourced seafood and seasonal vegetables.
One of our past partners, Apex for Youth, is looking for volunteers for their annual Apex Holiday Party.  Volunteers lead activities for the 100+ elementary school students that attend.

Apex for Youth delivers possibilities to underserved Asian and immigrant youth from low-income families in NYC.
