Hi <<First Name>>

1) Australia's Health Tracker

One of our BCRG community members has drawn our attention to the Victoria University release of the Australian Health Tracker which displays health data by suburb and the recent article in the Maribyrnong & Hobsons Bay Star Weekly (link below).

She believes that: "The data reflects poor outcomes for Western suburbs, with particular focus on Altona North. Whilst Brooklyn is not listed it can easily fall in line with Altona North results given Brooklyn is located immediately to the NNW of this suburb and the predominant wind is also from that direction. You would also be aware that Brooklyn was previously known as Altona North.
I think the tracker pretty much confirms that Brooklyn is in the line of fire for bad health outcomes due to pollution. There is data out there after all."

2) The proposed 2017 Brooklyn Community Representative Group

  •     Wednesday 26 July, 2017

BCRG Advertising and ongoing publicity and posters
We have produced a promotional poster for BCRG and put a few up in community centres in Yarraville and south of the freeway but it would be great to get them posted in more places. If you would like to put a poster up the document is available on the Brooklynip website.
  • Other ways you can help is to use this text and the links to the website and Facebook in your promotional material/social media.
