Dry Creek Joint Elementary School District
Open Enrollment 2017-2018
Intra-District Open Enrollment
The Intra-District Open Enrollment process is an opportunity for each student who resides permanently within the boundaries of the Dry Creek Joint Elementary School District to apply for enrollment at a school other than their school of residency. Applications for an Intra-District transfer are granted based on space availability at the requested school.
Applications for Intra-District transfers received during the Open Enrollment period will be given priority over applications received outside of the Open Enrollment window. The Open Enrollment period will begin on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 and end on February 24, 2017. All newly enrolled students to the District must register at their school of attendance prior to submitting an Intra-District transfer request. Students initially enrolling in the GATE Academy program at a site which is not their school of residency must apply for an Intra-District transfer. Students attending school on an Intra-District transfer are not eligible for District transportation. Transportation to and from the school of choice is the responsibility of the parent. It is anticipated that applicants will be notified of their application status by May 31, 2017.
