ACTIVE OFFER
Entité 4 facilitated many workshops on the active offer of French-language services. A total of 28 participants are now better equipped to improve access to health services in French.

NORTH YORK
A series of free workshops on health and wellbeing are offered in French at BLACK CREEK Community Health Centre in North York. The next one is scheduled for Saturday, December 17th and the topic is prevention of chronic diseases. Anyone can participate by contacting Stanislas Étiegne, navigator of French language services, at 416-246-2388, extension 3251, or by e-mailing him at stanislas.etiegne@bcchc.com .

In Scarborough, 25 people participated in the Mental Health First Aid program recently offered in French at TAIBU Community Health Centre. This was made possible through a collaboration between TAIBU, CMHA Durham, the Réseau franco-santé du Sud de l’Ontario, Central East LHIN and Entité 4. CHIGAMIK also offers a new walk-in mental health clinic in French on Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00p.m.

Members of the North York West French Language Services Advisory Committee met for the first time in December at BLACK CREEK Community Health Centre. This committee is composed of many key Francophone community partners as well as representatives from the Central LHIN and Toronto North Support Services. The objective of this committee is to raise awareness among Francophone communities about the importance of their involvement in health issues.
