How it differs from the original Palert?
Palert+ has a more advanced Mems sensor array as well as the ability to use optionally a traditional geophone sensor, either internally or externally.
Based on NZ market feedback, the Palert+ is IP 67 rated, perfect for those wet and harsh environments. The Palert+ has onboard storage and can perform similar functions to the PX-01 controller.
Note: the Palert+ was created to complement and enhance the Palert solution, and not replace it..!
As with the Palert, the Palert+ uses embedded Pd technology, developed by Prof. Yih-Min Wu from the National Taiwan University, that can accurately, within 3 seconds, determine the size of the arriving shock wave based on the detected P-wave. It can be used as part of an earthquake early warning system. Worldwide examples - India, Vietnam, China, Philippines, Greece, Korea, Mexico, USA and New Zealand.
