Dear Friend,

Three years ago, Alex Radita died of complications related to untreated diabetes. His death was not inevitable. Alex was diagnosed with diabetes as a toddler. His parents refused to believe the diagnosis, and Alex was removed from the home after his kindergarten teacher became concerned about his health. When Alex was returned to his parents, they evaded his medical requirements by moving and then homeschooling him. This time, there was no teacher to notice Alex’s declining health.

At CRHE, we advocate for children like Alex. We believe that every homeschooled child should receive a good education in a safe home environment. Advocating for homeschooled children takes a lot of work, and we need your help! We rely on your donations to keep our doors open---your donations magnify the voices of reform-minded homeschool alumni and parents. Our annual December fund drive is in full swing, and we still have a ways to go! We have raised $1450 of our $2500 goal. Your donation to CRHE helps us support children like Alex. No child should die because they lack access to someone willing to help.
