Grab a big hat, kick up your heels, round up your friends and get yourselves down to the Croquet Club for the best extra hour of daylight you’ll have had in a long time. The Point Chevalier Croquet Club is there for the locals. We’ll teach you the modern and easy to pick up version of the game. Men, Women, Couples, Baby Boomers, older kids and the retired, all welcome. Put Twilight Croquet on the calendar NOW. Summer Monday nights from 5 pm until dark. If 5 pm is too early for you, come anytime up to an hour before dark to be sure of a game. You’ll find the Croquet Lawns at 25 Dignan Street behind the Bowling Club. Friendly members are hanging out to teach you this great game. Prepare for a fun time. Equipment provided. Flat shoes a must. See you all there now, y’hear!
Oh and - don’t forget. The Croquet Club and lawns are available for hire for Christmas Parties and other private or workplace functions. We can cater for 40 or more. Tel: 022 -646-2129 or Email: ptchevcroquet@gmail.com for detail and bookings. Better still come join us on Twilight Mondays to check out the unique and fun experience these croquet parties offer.

The Grey Warblers Seek New Members:
We are the Selwyn Village community choir for seniors. Share the joy and fellowship of singing in a group and make new friends. Previous experience or the ability to read music is not essential. All are welcome, especially men. We sing in the Selwyn Christmas pantomime and perform several times a year with the Aotea Youth Symphony. Our varied repertoire includes old favourites, songs from the shows and spirituals. Rehearsals are in the music room on Wednesdays from 2.15 to 3.15 pm. Our musical director and pianist, Catherine Carr, is a multiple award-winning professional musician, so she charges a fee. To cover this and other expenses, we contribute a weekly koha ($5 for individuals or a couple). In cases of financial constraints, members pay what they can afford.
