Food for the Hungry

     We served 64 families in our supplemental grocery program of food containing canned goods, breakfast items, canned meats, pasta, baking items, fresh produce,  bakery products and frozen meats weighing approximately 3 tons.    
       With the beginning of Forsyth County School's 2-week Christmas break, our delivery also included our Bags of Love program to supplement the free/reduced meals.
        The photos, which include large black plastic bags, are filled winter items for our families. Coats size & gender specific, socks, gloves, scarves, hats/caps, and blankets.
       A SPECIAL thanks to each of the persons that helped transport our donations to Otwell Middle School for the process to begin! (7 vehicles in addition to the trailer)

BAGS of Love (student supplement on school breaks)

Spring Break - April 3/7
Summer Break- May 30-Aug 2 ( last day of school May 26, returns Aug. 3)
Fall Break- Sept 25-29
Thanksgiving - Nov. 20-24
Christmas Break- Dec 22/Jan 5

Drivers with large vehicles needed
Strong young adults for lifting boxes 35 lbs+

Items needed:
Cardboard boxes; medium size with handles are perfect.
Plastic Grocery bags
Zip lock bags, gallon size
Canned Goods
Any non-perishable grocery items
Toilet Paper, Paper Towels & Tissues
Toiletries, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes
dish washing liquid-not for electric dishwashers please,
soap, laundry detergent (not the gallon sizes)
