The Biomimicry Accelerator journey begins...

For the six teams in the new 2016-17 Biomimicry Accelerator, this year will bring lots of hard work, learning, and a shot at bringing their biomimetic food system solution to market with the help of the $100,000 Ray C. Anderson Foundation Ray of Hope Prize (TM).

Last June, six teams from five countries were chosen to take part in the second Biomimicry Accelerator cohort.
In early November, these teams began their journey in the program, which will culminate next October with the Ray of Hope Prize award. Along the way, they'll be matched with biomimicry and industry mentors as they work to prototype and test their food system solutions.

Learn more about these six teams and their nature-inspired innovations. We'll be posting updates from each team throughout the next year, so stay tuned!
