We look forward to resuming our "In the Loop" newsletter in 2017. The January edition will feature highlights from 2016 and exciting announcements about our plans for 2017 including launching a new local youth program in Adelaide, and a new immersive leadership program centered around our annual Uganda trip.
Here's what you made possible by partnering with the Kain Foundation in 2016:
- 45 young people from Adelaide high schools received coaching and career planning advice during two-day Work Inspiration workshops hosted and facilitated by our corporate partners
- 60 primary school children and 8 corporate partner volunteers together explored relationship issues such as peer pressure and dealing with emotions through drumming workshops
- 2 South Australian families are celebrating Christmas in their new Habitat homes, and 45 families and property owners had their spirits lifted by clean-up work of volunteers following the Pinery fires
- 9 family development meetings were attended by 240 families in Kkoba,Uganda where they covered topics such as health, education and domestic violence
- 4 schools were selected in the Luwego district of Uganda to participate in the Junior Landcare program
Thanks to all our volunteers, donors, and especially the staff of Blue Sky Alternative Investments, Halpin Financial, Kelledy Jones Lawyers, KWP Advertising, and Kain Lawyers for your support.
