Hello everyone,

As we head into the holiday weekend, we want to wish everyone a Happy Hanukkah! The office will be closed on Monday, December 26. Good Shabbas for the coming weekend.

Sincerely,
Your Friendly Temple Office

Mitzvah Day is Sunday, December 25, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. We'll be meeting in Roth Social Hall.

Please help your Ma’asim Tovim Committee/Sisterhood complete a few very important projects at this annual event to help our synagogue as well as our Central Florida community.
  • For our younger groups, we will be baking cookies in the Temple Israel kitchen for distribution to our first responders (police, firefighters). The cookie distribution will be made personally by the children.

  • We will begin refurbishing the art studio (old library) provided we get enough volunteers to help.  If you are interested in wall prep and painting, please contact Arlene van de Rijn at asvdr1026@aol.com or call 407.761.1243.

  • We are collecting the following for Bags of Hope Central Florida, a nonprofit dedicated to helping local homeless children:  a washcloth rolled up, liquid body wash (full size), shampoo/conditioner, toothbrush/toothpaste, gallon-sized zipper bags. Please look for more information and drop-off sites in the lobby and social hall.  We will assemble everything in zipper bags on Mitzvah Day.

Monday, January 2, at 7:00 pm, come and enjoy a great game of Texas Hold‘em, Omaha, Razz, Stud and more (or learn how!).

Refreshments will be available and it all goes down in the Lounge. When you arrive, enter through the front of the temple. All are welcome!

Sponsored by Temple Israel’s Men’s Club. Questions? Please call Steven Sesit at 407.421.4301.
