NYC Council Hep B and Hep C Initiative Updates

The NYC Council Hep B and Hep C Initiative served more than 4,500 people living with Hep B and Hep C from 2014 to 2016. Read the 2016 final reports for:
The Empire Liver Foundation is developing a Hepatitis Community Health Provider Capacity Building Program, offering free CME accredited: 
Hep C Grand Rounds for hospitals and health centers, a NYS Hep C Medicaid provider preparatory web-based training series, Hep C medication prior-authorization training, monthly HepCure webinars, and a community health center mentoring service. To learn more, contact hep@health.nyc.gov.

Article | Demonstrating a Model of Hep C Patient Navigation. Clin Infect Dis, December 2016. Between March 2014 and January 2015, 388 participants enrolled in the Check Hep C Patient Navigation Program, 129 (33%) initiated treatment, and 119 (91% of initiators) had sustained virologic response (SVR).
