Joan White Scholarship The Joan White Scholarship was created in honor of Joan White, a founding member of the Collaboration for Early Childhood. This scholarship provides early care professionals, providers, and parents an opportunity to attend the Symposium, build skills and become leaders in the early childhood arena. Applications are welcome from teachers, providers, and parents. Two scholarships are awarded annually. Consideration will be given to individuals who express financial need and an interest in continuing to develop their early childhood skills.
Dee Dee Farmer Scholarship The Dee Dee Farmer Scholarship was created to honor the memory of Dr. Deneita J Farmer, who died in October 2016. Dee Dee was one of the founders of the Collaboration. When we remember her, we think of these “Dee Dee dispositions”: deriving deep joy in being with children and sharing children’s wonder at the world; modeling genuine respect for children, families, and colleagues; advocating for the rights and needs of young children. Teachers, directors, providers, and parents may be nominated to receive the scholarship. Consideration will be given to individuals who exemplify the "Dee Dee dispositions."
