Culmina 2015 Decora $21.00 +taxes
An intensely focused and bright Riesling, Decora is characterized by distinct chalk and grapefruit aromas, accented with delicate spice, stone fruit, and white flower notes. Whetting the appetite with lively acidity, Decora first hits the mouth with wonderful nectarine flavours, followed by an integrated palate of mineral and citrus, and a dry, energizing finish. Jalapeño and chive braised tomatoes, thick-cut smoked bacon, and crème fraiche-laden scrambled eggs; kale, avocado, and grapefruit salad; West Coast oysters on the half-shell; panko-battered BC Halibut tacos with peach, radish, and savoy cabbage slaw; raclette, pork tenderloin, and new potatoes; gruyère and pancetta stuffed chicken.

Culmina 2014 R & D $23.00 +taxes
R&D: 1. ‘Research and Development’; 2. The process of testing and analysis employed by the Triggs family in the development of their estate winery; 3. A tribute to our Proprietor Don and his twin brother Ron who showed the same investigative spirit growing up in rural Manitoba; 4. A rich, bold, Merlot-dominant red blend of exceptional quality from the Golden Mile Bench. Initial investigation into this Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc blend shows enticing aromas of bright red cherries, cedar, and sweet vanilla. Subsequent random sampling reveals a juicy, full-bodied wine with plum and raspberry, and subtle clove flavours. The persistent finish suggests another glass should be poured. For research, of course. Pair with wiping the tomato sauce off your date’s cheek as you cook Nonna’s legendary eggplant parmigiana; Enjoying the view from the summit with a celebratory spread of local cheese, charcuterie, and fresh baked baguette; Impatiently standing in line for home-made mushroom & gruyere burgers at the family reunion; Looking up from your bowl of carbonara and realizing you’ve finally found the one.

Culmina 2012 Hypothesis $38.26 +taxes
VARIETAL BLEND Merlot (57%) Cabernet Sauvignon (24%) Cabernet Franc (19%) A rich, bold, terroir-driven blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc from select micro-blocks displaying abundant spice, floral, and dark red fruit aromas, enveloping the palate with dense structure, toasted oak, fine tannins, red plum flavours, and a long, persistent finish. Pair with braised Angus beef short ribs with a red wine reduction; seared duck breast with a herbed brown butter sauce; Dijon mustard and thymerubbed lamb; roasted beets; morel mushrooms; firm cheeses like aged Cheddar or Fontina; and raw cheeses like Gruyere or Comté. 93 points – Rick Van Sickle “…what a beauty! Dark and rich in the glass with opulent aromas of black currants, concentrated blackberries, red plums, an array of oakenriched spices and a touch of eucalypt. It’s big and powerful on the palate and highlights persistent dark fruits, plush tannins, and spices all delivered on a long, lush finish. Such depth of flavour yet finessed and polished.”

With Representative Abigail!
Stoneboat Piano $24.34 +taxes
MEL'S FAVOURITE
Wanting to create a sparkling wine that would capture the fresh, fruit driven and distinctly mineral characters of our Home Vineyard’s old-vines Pinot Blanc, the Piano Brut was vinified using the classic Charmat Method, or Méthode Cuve Close, which is an ideal process for natural carbonation while preserving more youthful freshness and aromatics in the finished wine. The only wine of its type in BC, the Piano Brut offers refreshing aromas of citrus and peach pit followed by juicy pear and nectarine notes carried by a fine, creamy mousse. Blend of  Pinot Blanc and Müller Thurgau grapes.

Stoneboat 2015 Gravelbar Rose $19.12 +taxes
Pinot Noir and Pinotage grapes were picked at lower sugar and higher acid levels to ensure the finished wine would remain bright and crisp. After crushing, juice was allowed 24 hours of skin contact before pressing and fermenting at cool temperatures. This vibrant Rosé shines with grapefruit, wild-berry and watermelon aromas that carry through to a round and elegant palate.

Stoneboat 2013 Rock Opera Pinotage $23.47 +taxes
The new face of Pinotage! Because of its mixed parentage of Cinsaut and Pinot Noir, we like to think that the vine's Rhone ancestry helps it thrive in the heat, while its Burgundian roots suit it well to our rocky soils and cool nights. This luscious wine is full-bodied with chocolate, earthy flavours coming through amid rich fruit. The 2013 vintage delivers intense, exotic fruit flavours with notes of mocha, black cherry and vanilla on a bold, rounded palate.

Stonboat 2012 Primo Pinot Noir Reserve $42.00 +taxes
INTRODUCTORY OFFER
Stoneboat Vineyards is a family-operated estate winery in Oliver, BC that produces red, white, rosé and dessert wines. A Stoneboat is a flat sledge for carrying stones; originally used to clear vineyards of river rocks. Stoneboat’s name is a tribute to the original caretakers of the Vineyard, who laboriously cleared the land of rocks to cultivate it. Stoneboat’s Primo Pinot Noir Reserve is made of selected clones whose crops are reduced to encourage intense flavour development and optimal ripeness.

Stonboat Verglass $65.88 +taxes
A perfect storm of intense noble rot in Stoneboat’s Oraniensteiner block and an early freeze led to the discovery of this wine in 2006. It has since been ranked among the best 100 wines in the world and has won acclaim for its unique flavour profile. Verglass offers intense aromatics of honey, tropical fruit and citrus zest. Concentrated sweet caramel, baked pear and orange flavours are well balanced by crisp acidity. This is the proprietary name for this winery’s Icewine. The first time the winery made Icewine, they had forgotten to register the grapes before harvest, as the rules require. So they created the name Verglas and the wine has been so well received that they continue to use it. The grapes here are Oraniensteiner and Pinot Blanc. The wine has a glorious honeyed aroma of peaches and pineapples and this is echoed on the palate. The bright acidity provides a refreshing and tangy balance to the natural sugar. The finish is clean and ever so long. 93.- John Schreiner
