IOCA has a new website to celebrate the excitement of sailing Optimists. It is the place to find all the information you need if you are new to sailingand if you're an experienced racer.
Scroll down the Home page to see all the regions of the UK and connect with your local Oppy news and events. Get in touch with your regional rep or flotilla leaders to find out how to get involved.
In the Racing menu you will find all the forthcoming Oppy events across the country. You can find the ones in your region by going through the map and Regions and Flotillas. Or if you are travelling for your holidays you can join events in other regions.
To register for events, to find out race results and other clever technical tasks we are still using our previous efficient website, so don’t worry if you are directed to a page that looks different!
We are lucky to have a growing collective resource about Optimists and sailing in Optipedia, a place to look up and contribute knowledge – check it out!
The new IOCA website was coordinated and populated by many of the parent volunteers who contribute to organizing the events and activities of the class. All skills are welcome and we can help you learn new skills on the water and off it. You can see the range of volunteer roles or sign up for volunteer duties here.
