Village Life

The Rocky Mount Mill Village celebrated the Holiday Season Jingling & Mingling with a night of house hopping throughout Rocky Mount Mills. It was a very chilly night but the warmth of new friends and neighbors made it an extra special night.

Mr Puckett with Puckett Farms added a special experience to the evening with his horse and carriage as he carried us through the Mill and Village looking at Christmas lights, visiting homes and enjoying life in the Mill Village.

Brewmill at Rocky Mount Mills

The Brewmill at Rocky Mount Mills is offering sectioned production space where ambitious brewers and beverage makers can house and grow their business. Serving as a vital middle step for those wishing to move to larger production capacity, the Brewmill model provides tenants their own space and equipment without the capital outlay associated with purchasing large scale brewing systems.

Each incubator space is outfitted with a 10 barrel brewhouse, two 20 barrel vessels, four 10 barrel vessels, and a 20 barrel hot liquor tank. In addition to the production element of the incubator spaces, each bay has it's own retail window where on site sales can be carried out to patrons and an adjacent beer garden seating space used to accommodate patrons of the Brewmill.

To keep up with construction visit Rocky Mount Mills Album. For additional information on the incubator space email info@brewmill.com

During the holidays it’s easier for pets to sneak table food.  Many times it’s due to a family member giving them an extra hand, you know who you are.  Regardless, rich table food doesn’t always agree with dogs’ and cats’ tummies.  Fatty, greasy foods, like pork, can be especially bad and can cause pancreatitis that’s very painful and can led to hospitalization.

There are other foods that can actually be toxic to them.  Never allow your small buddies to eat garlic, onions, grapes, raisins, or chocolate.  Also, watch out for choking hazards like large seeds and bones.  Feed them a small meal prior to family arrival, another meal just prior to the family meal, and maybe give a treat afterwards as a reward.  Toys can be a great distraction, especially new toys, for the good ones.

Merry Christmas Everyone!
