Allister Young Arts & Culture Endowment Fund

The City of Niagara Falls Arts, Culture & Museum Committee invites interested individuals to apply to the Allister Young Arts & Culture Endowment Fund.

Canada Day Challenge for young artists

Every year, the Canadian government asks young Canadians from 8 to 18 years old across Canada to submit their best, most dynamic drawings, photos or pieces of creative writing.

The Challenge is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2017, along with Canada’s 150th anniversary! Over 350,000 participants from across Canada have taken up the Challenge since 1987, and this year young Canadians are encouraged to join in and share with us their vision of the future for themselves and for Canada!

The winners will receive great prizes, including 1 of 3 all-expenses paid trip for two to Ottawa to celebrate Canada Day 2017 and the 150th celebrations on Parliament Hill: meet some of Canada’s most inspiring people, tour museums, galleries, the iconic Parliament Buildings and be part of a special summer exhibit at the Canadian Museum of History. You will get a VIP experience to the amazing Canada 150 celebrations!

Artists Database – needs Data to make it work for you

At the Cultural Summit in 2015, the community requested a digital network of information, a database that would allow artists to know who else is in the community and what supplies, materials or work could be communicated and shared with other artists in the community.
Rick Tisi volunteered to create the database, which is now available.
