EPCS Token Renewal
For those of you who signed up for Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances (EPCS) two years ago when the feature was first released, your token will most likely need to be renewed in the next couple weeks or months.  Read more about the steps that need to be taken to renew your token and ensure continued coverage.
MIPS Began on January 1st. MIPS streamlines three current quality programs: Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS), Value-based Payment Modifier (VBM) and Medicare Electronic Health Record Incentive Program (aka Meaningful Use) into one single program. The new program will instead measure clinicians on Quality, Advancing Care Information, Clinical Practice Improvement Activities and Resource Use/Cost.  Learn more about this new quality payment program or request our assistance to guide you through it all.

New webinars on MIPS and how to achieve it using ChartMaker® Medical Suite will be published in the next few weeks.

HealtheLink Displaying IERD Information
As of 12/12/16, HealtheLink is now sending Image Enabled Results Delivery (IERD) information to the ChartMaker® Medical Suite. A “View Image” button and PIN is now located in the bottom left of the ChartMaker Radiology Report. When selected the user will be directed to the associated radiology image or scan for that patient. Any questions on this new feature should be directed to Clinical Support.

Don't Fall Pray to Ransomware. STI Managed Services had one of its busiest Decembers due to offices being brought down by Ransomware attacks. These criminals are getting more and more creative. Some offices saw nearly a week of lost productivity. The most common attacks are from old and open Firewalls, clicking on infected attachments in emails, not maintaining security patches in your operating system, and the use of generic usernames with simple passwords. Learn how to protect your office from this type of malicious behavior before it is too late.
Coming Soon
Quality Registry Reporting Option for MIPS.  STI will be providing a Certified Registry solution for the Quality reporting category for MIPS. We expect this solution to be available in the near future. The Quality category is only one out of 4 categories in the MIPS program, so keep in mind that this reporting solution will not cover the other 3 categories.

If you are signed up for our MIPS Assistance Program there is no additional cost for using this registry to report your quality measures. It is included in the cost of the program.  However, if you are not registered for our assistance program and would like to participate with this electronic quality reporting solution, the cost per year per provider is $590.

When the Certified Registry solution is available we will send out a notification announcing it. There will be a registration form on the Enrollments page of our website to sign up.
