Men's Class 1 Singles Cub Championship 2016

Our Men's Class 1 Singles Club Championship final between Pete Boyles and Al Ramsay was played last Friday night in front of a Friday night drinks crowd that were well and truly entertained with an epic five set match. In a titanic struggle, Al won the first two sets 6/0 6/5 and had match points in the third set while Pete hung on by his fingernails. After winning the third set 6/5, Pete maintained his composure and ended up getting across the line 0/6 5/6 6/5 6/4 6/3. It was an awesome match and both players deserve much credit for the way they played. Congratulations go to Pete for retaining the title this year - but I'm sure Al will be back looking for revenge next year!!

Class 2 Singles Club Championship Final 2016
The Class 2 Singles final was played last Sunday with Greg Kerin and Jeremy Rackham battling it out for 2016 honours. The match was tighter than the scoreline indicated - with some great reste's - but Jeremy got the win in the end...taking out the match 6/4 6/2. Well done Jeremy!

Presidential Pennant Wooden Spoon Match 2016

This year's Presidential Pennant wooden spoon match between the "Trumped Up Chargers" and "The Marilyn's" to determine our best performing "under-performing" pennant team for the season was played on Sunday night and it was "The Marilyn's" that proved that it is never too late to put your best foot forward! The "Marilyn's" took out the match 4 rubbers to 2 and 29 games to 26. Well done to Paul Dunne, John Moores and Michelle Moores....2016 Wooden Spoon winners!

Tasmanian Cricket Association v MCC Real Tennis 2017

HRTC is calling on Tasmanian Cricket Association members that would be interested in getting involved in such a match and asks them to contact the Club to ascertain numbers.
