Pre-Registration

Online pre-registration will begin on Monday, January 30 at 8:00 a.m., and close on Friday, February 10 at 8:00 p.m. Pre-registration determines the order in which you’ll register for 2017–2018 classes on Friday, February 24. Your registration slot is based on the date/time that the online form is submitted, and your status at Community Preschool (Current Family, Alumni Family, New Family). Since our classes fill up quickly, we strongly encourage everyone to pre-register and reserve a spot in line. However, if you do not pre-register online you can still come at 11:00 a.m. on February 24 and register after the pre-registered families.

Registration

Registration will take place on Friday, February 24.If you pre-register, you will receive an email with your assigned arrival time. Otherwise, you are welcome to arrive at 11:00 a.m. Be sure to bring one completed 2017–2018 Registration Packet for each child, and a checkbook for your $70 non-refundable registration fee. Download the updated Registration Packet from the website, or pick up a printed copy in the hallway.

Visit CommunityPreschool.org for all of the answers to your questions.

Submit a Letter of Intent by January 18

We are looking for energetic, organized people to fill open positions on our Board of Directors for the 2017–2018 school year. Serving is a two-year commitment and a great way to get involved. Elections will be held in January, and new officers will immediately begin their terms.

In return for serving on the board, officers receive:
  • A 10% tuition discount
  • An exemption from community job assignments
  • First priority for class registration and parent-help signup
If you are interested in one of the available positions: Write a Letter of Intent stating the position, why you are qualified for and interested in that position (background, personality traits, etc.), and any personal or school-related information you’d like to include (which classes your children have been in, etc.). A small photo may be included with your Letter of Intent to help parents recognize you when voting.

Letters are due by 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18. Place your typewritten letter in the President’s bin in the hallway or email it to the President. Voting will take place beginning Friday, January 20 and results of the election will be posted on Friday, January 27.

The open positions are listed here with brief descriptions. Detailed descriptions are also posted on the bulletin board in the hallway, or available by clicking the title for each position below. If you have any questions about these positions, you can send them to the President or Secretary.

Development Coordinator: The Development Coordinator is responsible developing and administering fundraising for the preschool.

2s/3s Class Coordinator: The 2s/3s Class Coordinator is responsible for maintaining registration paperwork, parent-help schedules, and contact information for the 2s and 3s classes. Easy, Everyday Fundraising

You can help raise funds simply by purchasing products you use anyway.

Buy a gift card for King Soopers or Safeway for $5. (The beginning balance is $5.) Add to the balance and use it whenever you shop, and the school receives 5% back from your purchases, including groceries and gas. Consider getting cards for family and friends, and their purchases will also benefit Community Preschool.

Save your Morning Fresh Dairy milk caps and drop them in the collection box at school. We earn $50 for every 1,000 milk caps collected.

Purchase a Papa Murphy’s pizza coupon card for $10 and use it for great dinner discounts.

Save a bookmark for http://smile.amazon.com/ch/84-0612975, and use it when you shop on Amazon. Then 0.5% of your purchases will come back as a donation to our school.

If you’d like to purchase a grocery card for either King Soopers or
Safeway, or a Papa Murphy’s pizza coupon card, you can email our Development Coordinator, or ask one of the teachers.
