Esa Ruoho leapfrogged Lackluster and released a cassette, also, 4 gigs. Lackluster gets back by featuring on three compilations and a forthcoming release.

As you can see, ambient droning is the new thing. You're well keen on it, aint ya? Well, I got released on the Kaukana Väijyy Ambient -cassette label, and thoroughly enjoyed this occurrence. I even have 18 tapes available for you.

I've listed some of them up on Discogs, you can see the link below.

But if you can't tolerate it, just scroll down a bit and you're back on Lackluster territory..
Grab the cassette from me, and I'll sign it, too!
If I told you that I'm also playing at Sähköpatoklubi in Kuusankoski on the 5th of March, Kukemuru in Pärnu, Estonia on the 4th or 5th of August, Kontula Electronic (with Jukka Mikkola!) on the 21st of April, and at Akusmata on the 17th of March in Helsinki, would you believe it?

What in the world is happening, anyway?

We've gone from Lackluster all the time everywhere to Esa Ruoho all the time everywhere.. I'm also waiting for flyers for two additional gigs in 2017, too. Guess which project is playing? You guessed it.

Check out Lackluster.org for a more up-to-date list of gigs. By the power of D R U P A and L combined, I am the front page of Lackluster.org.
But it ain't all drones..
Ambidextrous records.. April 2017.. Lackluster: Lax (Mini-album).

Up now on pre-order via Bleep

Here's the press-release:
"Lackluster is no stranger to experimental electronic music and IDM, he’s been involved at the top end of the scene for years with a string of top releases behind him and a reputation to match. His engaging melodic IDM is both aesthetically pleasing and technically gifted. He’s a real gem of the genre. Ambidextrous Records’ re-release of his LAX Mini-Album is a testament to the artist’s inherent talent and we’re delighted to be releasing it."
V/A: Tangled

Yarn Audio 01 is finally out. Finally, finally, finally.

All kinds of music by people such as Yolo Ferahn, Turning Torso, Terrorrythmus, Tobs, Tabache, George McVicar, KiK, Ghostwerk and Lackluster.

There's also a lot of drama with the video creations created for this - they were of such high definition high quality HD everythings that no codec in the whole universe would play them correctly, not YouTube, not Vimeo, so you have to go and download them for yourselves on your own.

Oh, and there's an interactive 3d Version thing here
V/A: Cottage Industries 6

Neo Ouija is back! This compilation features tunes by people such as.. Christ, Qeshi, Gis, Ambidextrous, Bauri, Coppice Halifax, Ghostwerk & Zebra, Novel 23, Roel Funcken, Arovane, Metamatics, Sleepy Town Manufacture and Lackluster.

Oh and it's also available digitally and on a physical object, a Disc Compact, I believe it was called once.

"Neo Ouija takes the platter and spins it with their own textural funk on Cottage Industries 6.

Cottage Industries 6 contains a wide range of beautiful electronics from relatively unknown and known musicians from around the world. The music fills the void that experimental electronic music seems to leave wide open. Rather than scratching your head at the end of this 67 minute excursion, you’re forced to think, relax, and sit back to contemplate.

It becomes quite an adventure when music takes a new shape and form and Cottage Industries 6 makes that possible by allowing 14 different artists to create their own atmosphere’s and textures.

All proceeds from the digital sale of this album will be donated to Touched - Music for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Did you know this about Lackluster? (Lackluster Factoid #09)

Esa has had tinnitus in both ears since 2003. He learned to live with it, and so can you. Your tinnitus, not his.You won't survive his. Don't even try.

We have possibly reached the end of Lackluster Factoids. There's nothing more to probably be revealed, so we're quite certain we're done here. Ta-ta!
