Singaporean and Malaysian tourists dominate region’s outbound market to Pacific

A review of the outbound performance from markets in Southeast Asia to the Pacific in the first three quarters of 2016 shows that tourists from Singapore and Malaysia accounted for over 60 percent of total arrivals. The percentage of Singaporean tourists fluctuated between 30 and 35 percent, reaching 34.1 percent in 2Q2016. The number of Malaysian tourists increased constantly throughout the period, reaching 32.1 percent in the third quarter.
