PRE-SCHOOLERS
These 1 hour themed workshops for ages 4-6 use costumes, props, role play, characterisation, voice, movement, music, mime, and interactive storytelling to encourage participants to think creatively, work both collaboratively and independently, solve problems, and use their imaginations to understand the world around them. $16.50
PRIMARY
TWISTED TALES (ages 10-12) and LOOPY LEGENDS (ages 7-9):
These week-long workshops allow the participants to work as a group to devise an original play based on the theme. They will create the characters and story, and work together to bring it to life. Along the way, they’ll practice their skills with voice, movement, characterisation, acting, mime, story creation and writing, negotiation, and presentation. Their creation will be presented as a short performance to families at the end of the week. $165 (includes all materials)
TEENS & ADULTS
CREATING BELIEVABLE CHARACTERS 1 & 2: Participants will explore characters from existing works, and characters of their own creation. We will explore the vocal and physical techniques, character planning and improvisations, which are used to bring characters from page to stage, from one-dimensional to multi-layered, and the skills and subtleties required to make them believable. We will examine the different elements needed to establish believability with characters across various genres. Participants must attend the 1st workshop to be able to attend the 2nd. $40 each

SEMESTER 1 WORKSHOPS

If you are interested in a class, but the current schedule does not suit you, please email us and we will place you on a waiting list for an alternative time. WYRD SISTERS

K-M will be directing the first production for Milton Follies this year, Terry Pratchett's© Wyrd Sisters, adapted by Stephen Briggs. Auditions are Thursday the 12th, and Sunday 15th of January, and anyone over the age of 15 is welcome to audition. All information, including the audition pack and registration form are on the Follies website.

"In Wyrd Sisters, Terry Pratchett© takes Shakespeare’s Macbeth and then turns it up ‘till the knob comes off. It’s all there – a wicked duke and duchess, the ghost of the murdered king, dim soldiers, strolling players, a land in peril. And who stands between the Kingdom and destruction? Three witches: Granny Weatherwax (intolerant, self-opinionated, powerful); Nanny Ogg (down-to-earth, vulgar); and Magrat Garlick (naive, fond of occult jewellery and bunnies)."

Wyrd Sisters is a non-musical, adult production, but contains humour and themes suitable for family audiences. Like the best family productions, it has humour aimed at all ages, including riotous innuendo which will safely fly over the heads of the youngsters.

Milton Follies invite everyone to audition for Wyrd Sisters,
and would definitely love to see more men (aged 15+) registering their audition
