Seasons Greatings
 
We hope you've all enjoyed your Christmas and managed to get a little diving in.  Thank you for your support throughout 2016, we have thoroughly enjoyed your company during the year.  Look forward to lot's of fun diving and opportunities to get more diver ratings throughout 2017 and hope to see many of the new divers joining in for their Advanced Open Water course and dive trips.  Have a safe new year and best wishes for 2017.

Well done and welcome new divers who completed their Open Water Diver course during December.  Some patient Advanced Open Water divers left their mark plus new Sidemount divers, Gas Blender and a ReActivated diver!  A great effort all round.

New Year opening days/hours
We're open 8am to 5pm throughout the holiday season except for mandatory Statutory Holidays: Closed the 1st and 2nd of January over that period.

Next Crew Night - February

Early January is a busy time for most so there is no Crew Night this month.  But don't worry, February will come up very quickly as it does so look forward to Crew Night on the 1st of February!

New Certifications

Well done to all those who have achieved new certifications this month, remember to come to Crew Night to celebrate and collect your certificate.  There is a lot of great diving to be had with your new certifications so join us for some more local diving, your next dive course, a dive trip or just stop by for a chat.

PADI Diver courses


Getting your PADI Open Water Diver certification is no small achievement.  Learning how to SCUBA dive is a thrilling, life changing experience for most.  

Having your Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water and Rescue diver certifications will unlock your potential.  Explore and experience the underwater world's true wonder with the experience, knowledge and confidence you need.
January:
  • Open Water Diver: 7th, 8th, 14th and 15th
  • Open Water Diver: 21st, 22nd, 28th and 29th
  • Advanced Open Water: 28th and 29th
February:
  • Open Water Diver: 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th
March:
  • Rescue Diver: 11th and 12th of March

PADI Divemaster course

Become a Dive Leader with the PADI Divemaster course.  

Working closely with one of our PADI Instructors, you expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. PADI Divemaster is the prerequisite certification for both the PADI Assistant Instructor and PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor certifications.

Local Diving Adventures

Saturday and/or Sunday, come by the Store in the morning to see what's happening and meet up with other divers looking to do some local diving....  

Local Boat Dives

We can arrange local Charter Boat trips with those wanting a little something different. Depart from the wharf at Mana for one or two dives.  Available most weekends if given enough warning.

Rena/Tiaoma/Aldermans

18th, 19th and 20th of February
Off the coast of Mt Mauganui lies the wrecks of the Rena and the Tiaoma.  At first an environmental tragedy, the Rena wreck was accidentally run aground on the Astrolabe Reef in October 2011. This trip we aim to dive the two reefs and also some of the prime dives sites at Mayor Island and the Alderman Islands. There will be something for everyone.
