HKBU School of Business hosts the 6th World Business Ethics Forum
The
HKBU School of Business hosted the 6th World Business Ethics
Forum from 12 to 13 Dec in Hong Kong. This year’s theme,
“Making a Difference – Business Sustainability and Social
Impact”, engaged scholars and practitioners across the globe
to share insights of doing business ethically and sustainably.
The Forum attracted 100 delegates from
13 countries. 50 academic papers were presented, with
four Best Paper Awards and one Best Student Paper Award
being given to recognise outstanding contributions.

School of Business and
Grenoble École de Management have signed a
Memorandum of Understanding to launch a new
MSc programme in Entrepreneurship and Global
Marketing.
BBA student wins scholarship to sail the Semester at Sea voyage
Jason Choi (BBA, Finance,
Year 4) was awarded the CY Tung Scholarship
and will join students from around the globe
to board the “floating campus” of Semester
at Sea.
$1 million gift will unleash entrepreneurial potential of HKBU students
A HK$1 million donation
from Mr. Shih Wing Ching will support entrepreneurial
education and initiatives for HKBU students.
A ceremony was held to celebrate the establishment
of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Club on 1 Dec.
Exchange
students win first runner-up in charity sedan
chair race
A team of exchange students
won the first runner-up prize in a charity
sedan chair race hosted by Diamond Cab, supporting
social integration and enhanced understanding
of the physically disadvantaged population
in Hong Kong.
Faculty member wins Best Paper Award at securities
and financial markets conference
Dr. Jason Yi of the Department
of Finance and Decision Sciences won the Best
Paper Award (First Prize) at the 24th Conference
on the Theories and Practices of Securities
and Financial Markets held in Taiwan from
9-10 Dec 2016 by National Sun Yat-sen University.
Assistant Professor awarded Li Ka Shing Prize
Dr. Rocky Chen Peng, Assistant
Professor in the Department of Marketing,
has been awarded the Li Ka Shing Prize for
the year 2014-15. Dr. Chen won the Prize out
of 511 doctoral graduates of The University
of Hong Kong (“HKU”) in the year 2014-15.
