SHOULD OLD EDITIONS
BE FORGOT...

How and Where to Get Your Pix Fix in 2017

Okay, gang, here's the scoop: the first edition of PIX: ONE WEIRDEST WEEKEND, the one I self-published that looks like the one fading out on the left in the banner above...there are about 300 of those left in existence, and as of this newsletter you can no longer get it through standard retail channels.

Why not? Because with the new edition from Image Comics (out 2/22 in comic shops and digitally, 2/28 everywhere else) is currently available for pre-order, and I'd rather not add confusion to the marketplace (or compete with myself, for that matter).

So, you might ask, "Is there anything different about the new edition?" and "Do I need to buy it if I already have it?"

To question one, yes, the new version has the new cover (seen on the right in the banner above) as well as four pages of bonus material, in the form of early design sketches for Pix and a two page story that appeared in an anthology for the Ann Arbor Comic Arts Festival (A2CAF). So some extra pages (for the same $12.99 price!), if you're into that kind of thing.

To question two, well, I can't say you need to buy anything (well, maybe medication…or water if you're thirsty), but if you want it...or want to get it as a gift, then by all means, pick up the new edition. Also, the cover and spine to book two, TOO SUPER FOR SCHOOL, will match this one design-wise, so if you want things to look consistent on a shelf (some people care about stuff like that), there's that.

All of which is to say you can pre-order the Image edition of PIX: ONE WEIRDEST WEEKEND now from wherever you get books.

If you have a local comic shop, tell them you want the book with Diamond Code DEC160764

You can also get it from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or use Indiebound (to find a local bookseller to get it). If you want a digital version, you can get it through Comixology.

And if you want both versions and haven't gotten the original first edition yet, well...read on below!

THE PIX CLEARANCE SALE!!!

Like I said, I've still got about 300 copies of the self-published version of PIX: ONE WEIRDEST WEEKEND available for anyone who wants one. And I'm selling them to you, my newsletter subscribers only, for less than $10, shipping included.

If you want one, go to pixcomic.com/store and enter the code 300 at checkout, you will get 63% off the printed book. SIXTY-THREE PERCENT OFF. Again, that gets you the book (signed if you want it) for under $10 including shipping.

This coupon code only applies to the paperback edition and not the PDF or any of the combo packs in the store. Coupon expires at the end of the month.

(more) PIX STUFF!

Oy, still more to say about Pix?! Just a little progress report. I'm delivering the files for ONE WEIRDEST WEEKEND on the 10th of this month, so I've been busy designing the back cover, the title page, the inside covers, the bonus pages, etc.

After that, it's back to full steam ahead on TOO SUPER FOR SCHOOL, which, by the way, is totally inked and just needs to be colored. So...it's getting closer and closer to completion. By February 1 I'm gonna try to have some color pages to share...

I'm also working on promoting PIX, setting up interviews and such with websites and podcasts. If you write for a site/blog/newspaper/magazine or host/produce a podcast, I'm ready to talk to you! Let me know. For real.

STUFF SAID Stuff

Hey, remember the podcast I did for four years and then put on hiatus and then put out two episodes in 2016? Well, 2016 has been busy (on account of the books I won't stop talking about), and I'm looking to do more in 2017. I even have a conversation scheduled for this month, so...make sure your subscriptions on iTunes are up to date...

In the meantime, all past episodes are available for your ears at stuffsaidshow.com. Resolve in the new year to listen to them all!
