We're wishing everyone a Happy New Year! I hope you all had a peaceful and blessed holiday season.

I am very much looking forward to the New Year, the upcoming growing season, and all the exciting flowers.

With the winter solstice past, we cherish those extra few minutes of daylight added to each day. We begin starting our seedlings today, which is always exciting and brings thoughts of spring. Soon the fields will be bursting with blooms.

My grandfather called me every year on the solstice to give encouragement- no matter how long the winter seemed, spring would come.

During the holidays I always think so fondly of my grandparents - good food, warm family gatherings and especially their beautiful gardens.

Grandpa grew a garden that could feed half of Poland. He was the the top chef  in our family and always cooked mountains of food to feed family, neighbors and friends. His specialties I remember most were homemade kielbasa, fresh smoked hams, city chicken, golumpkis, sauerkraut and horseradish that would clear sinuses like nothing else. He made some fabulous wines, jellies and juices. His pantry was always stocked full of food put up from his garden.

Grandma was the baker in the family – famous for perogies, kruschiki, paczki and all types of fabulous pies made with fruits from grandpa’s small orchard.

When grandpa passed away, I inherited his Troy-Bilt Horse tiller. There wasn’t a day behind it I didn’t think of Grandpa and Grandma and all the gifts they had given us – especially the love of the earth and the knowledge to care for it. We retired Grandpa’s tiller just this past year. I believe he would be proud to know that it gave us so many additional years of service.

Who my grandparents were helped determine who we are today, just as who we are today will help determine who our children and grandchildren will be tomorrow. I hope our choices today make for a better tomorrow, with joyous memories of the past.

A lot of Grandpa and Grandma are in this this farm today. We have the absolute best customers and one of our goals is that they have  many fond and joyous memories of our farm and using our flowers.

We are now accepting deposits for wedding flowers for the 2017 season. Some weeks book up fast and so we encourage you to schedule your date early.
