Lesson 2052: Is Jesus God? Pt.2

Jesus claimed to be God.

John 10:28-33 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.”

The Jews picked up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone me?”

The Jews answered him, “It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.”

If you know Jesus you know God.

John 8:19 If you knew me, you would know my Father also.

John 14:7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.

To see Jesus was to see God.

John 12:45 whoever sees me sees him who sent me.

John 14:9 Jesus said, “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.”

To believe in Jesus is to believe in God.

John 12:44 Jesus cried out and said, “Whoever believes in me, believes not in me but in him who sent me. To receive Jesus is to receive God.

Mark 9:37 whoever receives me, receives not me but him who sent me.
