17th Annual Galactic 9-Pin Results and Only 7 Spots Remain in Super Bowl Doubles
By virtue of a tiebreaker that got him into the top 16 and afforded a bye into a future match play round, Jeremy Johnson used it to his advantage to defeat #25 seed Nick Bruckner 292-214 to win the 17th annual Galactic 9-pin held at Odyssey Fun Center. It is believed that this is Jeremy's 2nd Galactic 9-Pin Title.
In the semi-final matches, Jeremy defeated #32 Steve Wieck while Nick defeated #14 Larry Heling.
The qualifying rounds featured ten 300 games rolled by: Steve Bartel, Paul Gloede, Mark Liermann, Eric Otte, Troy Felsinger, Ryan Moenning, Cody Eickberg, Dawn Zeier, Chris Meifert and Corey Long
Following the 9-pin, two people are distancing themselves from the rest of the field in the Roto Grip Bowler of the Year points race. Cody Eickberg and Steve Wieck sit at 147 and 140 points and lead Jeremy Johnson at 118 points and Nick Bruckner at 115 points. The Roto Grip Bowler of the Year competition that will be crowned following the last event in April and pay out prizes for the top 3 spots.

By virtue of a snow storm that forced the postponement of the Holiday Classic on December 17th, that event has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 1st (no joke). The Roto Grip Bowler of the Year prizes will be determined following that event.
