From everyone at the Collinsville Connect Telecentre, we hope you had a very merry Christmas and festive New Year! The CCT is open again today, Tuesday the 3rd of January, 2017. We are excited to embrace the new year with positive growth in our community! Below we have a short wrap up of the special moments that made up 2016, so enjoy!

2016 Australia Day Awards... Congratulations to the Pit Pony Experience team for making Collinsville's event of the year!




2016 saw the devasting closure of Hillside Haven, and the transfer of residents to Bowen and further away. However, the election of a new council and the purchase of the facility by the WRC, may offer hope for the future.


 

Events Galore!

2016 sure was a packed calendar of events, bringing many visitors to town, and keeping local committees very busy!
















Collinsville Businesses were once again strongly represented at the Bowen Tourism & Business 2016 Awards



The Collinsville Connect Telecentre turned 15!!




And the Pit Pony Experience celebrated 1 year on - with the announcement of an upcoming 2017 Pit Pony Festival!

 

Farewell to Peter Fallon

A message from the CCA:
On Friday 6th January, 2017 the Collinsville community will farewell one of our long time government agents and community minded people. Peter Fallon is retiring and we are going to send him off with a get together at the Pit Pony Tavern from 6.30pm.
Everyone is welcome - pay for your own meal and drinks - we require a confirmation for catering purposes.CCA offices will be closed from Friday 23rd December to Tuesday 3rd January so this page will not be monitored.
