THE STUDIO: BEFORE & AFTER
Happy New Year to all of you!
2016 was the year of big changes for us! The biggest change of all was our move to a new studio space in Santa Cruz. Despite all the work, we feel like we settled in so quickly and comfortably into our new space that it's easy to forget how much work we put into making it what it is. So I thought I'd take a moment to look back on what we started with and I realized how lucky I am to have this amazing and enormous studio to work in. Nate did an incredible job building out 1300 square feet of raw warehouse space into a beautiful fully functional clay studio, classroom space, office, storage area and he still had a little bit of space left over for all of his tools too. It is quite a big change from our old studio which was a converted two car garage space. I'm so thrilled to start off the new year creating new work in this space and to see what will come. Thank you to everyone who have visited me at the studio for a class, a show or just to drop by and say hi since we opened in October, your enthusiasm has kept us going! If you haven't visited the studio yet, classes will resume mid-February or just swing by to say hi!
Thank you all so much for being on this creative journey with me,
