As you know, PG Pride is proud and excited to be part of efforts to grow lacrosse in our county. Let your friends know about our program and earn a $50 credit if they list you as a referral on their registration. Eighteen families brought new players into the Pride family last fall and received their credit for this spring.
Girls
PG Pride will again be playing in the Metro Girls Lacrosse League this spring with games being played in the Bethesda/Rockville area. We will field teams in the 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, and 7th/8th grade age groups. At the 1st/2nd grade level, we expect to have both 4v4 rookie teams as well as 7v7 teams. We will no longer offer a mini tyke clinics.
Practice will start early March. Games start March 26 and run through May 21nd. Practices are tentatively scheduled for Monday and Friday evenings and will be held in the College Park area. As always, we welcome players of all skill levels at each age group.

Boys
Spring 2017 Boys Lacrosse will begin practices in early March with games starting at the end of March through mid-May. Games are on Saturdays and practices are twice a week in the College Park/Hyattsville area. Exact practice schedules/locations will be released by mid-February. We will be playing in the Southern Maryland Youth Lacrosse Association (SMYLA) League.
Depending on registration numbers, we hope to field two teams at several age groups. Teams will be assembled to provide the most competitive and best developmental experience for our players. Beginning and newer players won't be matched with a player who has been playing for 5yrs. It is always a challenge, however we have found great success in having player learn lacrosse, grow a love of the game, and compete in a way that respects the game and its origins.
New this season in SMLYA, each age division will be set up with varying field size, # of players, w/goalie or w/o Goalie, and some with differing competitive divisions, all with the goal of a better developmental experience based on age.
