A Message from the KOTESOL President

Happy New Year! I hope 2017 is off to a promising start for you. The year is looking bright for KOTESOL, indeed! It's our silver anniversary, and we'll be celebrating our 25 years in style. Among the many highlights of the coming year, you can look forward to a National Conference in mid-May featuring the world-renowned presenters of FAB, the famed neuro-ELT conference; a special day of reflection from our Reflective Practice SIG in September, featuring the always-scintillating Tom Farrell; and an International Conference in October sure to include a dazzling array of the top minds in ELT. It's a great year to develop personally and professionally, and I look forward to seeing you there! In the meantime, I wish you a warm, happy, memorable New Year filled with many comforts and good company.

All the best,

Lindsay Herron
President, KOTESOL

Did You Get Your TEC?

Did you receive your hard copy of the winter issue of The English Connection (TEC)? In addition to being available online, the magazine was mailed out in mid-December. If you haven't received your print copy, yet, it should be arriving soon.

If you do not receive this issue of TEC soon, you either (a) opted out of receiving a hard copy, (b) moved but did not update your mailing address in the proper place ("Postal Mailing Address" under the "Edit" tab) in your KOTESOL online profile, (c) have an incorrectly formatted address on file, or (d) still have your old-style Korean address and postal code on file. KOTESOL is now sending out TEC only to recipients with properly formatted addresses using the new street/road-name system and the new 5-digit postal code for Korean addresses. Be sure your mailing address is up to date.
