Lesson 2060: Christmas Spirit That Endures
Think back to a time when you couldn't wait to get up in the morning. Remember that feeling of excitement.
It might be a childhood Christmas memory. Maybe you were looking for a new bicycle.
That's how I feel every day now about Bible study.
I used to think Christmas spirit meant decorating, listening to carols, and exchanging gifts. But why can’t that spirit of Christmas remain all through the year?
I wanted a kind of Christmas spirit that doesn’t depend on circumstances, and endures beyond December.
How can we have Christmas spirit, even during December, when we suffer the loss of a job or a loved one, or a terminal illness?
How can we find comfort and joy, hope and peace, when our todays and our yesterdays are painful, and our tomorrows look even worse?
The Bible has the answer.
