Lesson 2061: Christmas Spirit That Grows
I had a life-changing revelation: the connection between the virgin birth, the Holy Spirit, and my ability to live with Christmas spirit year round.
I found an anchor that could not be moved by despair, dread, disease, or even death. I discovered the most wonderful book ever written.
Gifts and cookies and holiday traditions are blessings, but the greatest blessing is the true Spirit of Christmas.
The Spirit of Christmas is the Spirit of God, who conceived the Son of God, whose birth we celebrate.
The same Holy Spirit who enabled the birth of Christ and the birth of the church indwells every true believer.
Because He will never leave me, I have comfort and joy, hope and peace, the true Spirit of Christmas all through the year, and for eternity.
With every gift under the tree, every holiday tradition: anticipation builds before the event, then it’s over.
When I received the gift of the true Spirit of Christmas, my anticipation grew after the gift.
It’s still growing.
