Lesson 2069: Mary’s Song Pt.2, Luke 1:46-55
Mary's song of joy includes a third great revolution:
God fills the hungry, but the rich are sent away empty - an economic revolution.
Our culture says the winner is whoever has the most toys, but this is not God's opinion.
Christianity compels us to share our blessings, and to love and care for one another. Christians work to distribute resources and reduce human suffering.
Mary’s song, the Magnificat, is lovely. But it carries an explosive message.
It causes a revolution in the heart of each believer. And that causes a revolution in the world.
Mary was a model Christian mother, with strength, sensitivity, love for God and others.
Luke 1:48 Mary said “all generations will call me blessed”. Why?
Luke 1:49 “for the Mighty One has done great things for me” – to God be the glory.
As a boy, Jesus must have cherished one special story that His mother loved to tell:
a story of angels and evil kings, of joy and desperation, of shepherds and wise men, the story of the night when Christ was born.
