You will be very pleased to read that I will make this a very short email, well short for me may well still be too long for some!
Just a note to remind you that I will be patiently waiting upstairs for those who can join me in The Three Swans for our first meeting of 2017 on Wednesday 4th January, 7.30pm. Sometimes a quiet meet up there are still those who like to emerge from the festive season to reveal their Christmas stories. For us the big dramas were firstly the freezer breaking down, then the kitchen tap shearing off at the base on Boxing Day! Both thankfully resolved when we realised the freezer had been hit by a stray piece of smoked salmon hitting the off button but not until the fuses, plug and wiring had all been taken apart to trace the problem! Then a temporary fix on the tap, which must not be moved until the new tap is installed hopefully tomorrow! However, in the great scheme of things minor problems.
Like many of us I was saddened to hear of the deaths of two icons from my youth, George Michael and Carrie Fisher, yet another reminder of our own mortality and more reason to make the most of the time we have.
So I wish you all a very Happy and Healthy 2017 and look forward to seeing those who can make it in January.

No-one has sent me anything so nothing to say this month. I usually start to prepare this email about 2 weeks before each Arts Cafe so please do send me any news of your exhibitions and events, with a jpeg poster if you have it to caroline@scarlettart.co.uk.

Please note I have scheduled the July 2017 Cafe for the second week in July to avoid clashing with Frome Open Studios and the Frome Festival, this seemed to work well this year.
