FTL Hosts Vindicated by NH Supreme Court

FTL Hosts Win At NH Supreme Court

It's been over three years, but it's finally over.  Free Talk Live hosts Ian Freeman and James Cleaveland are vindicated in the long-running courtroom saga of "Robin Hood of Keene".  We were sued by the City of Keene, NH in 2013 for the dastardly act of saving thousands of people from receiving parking tickets in downtown Keene.  We won at superior court, then won again on appeal to the supreme court.  While the city claimed we were "threatening, intimidating, and harassing" their parking enforcers, they never proved that claim.

The supreme court agreed with the superior court that the city's proposed injunction, which would keep us away from their enforcers, was unconstitutional.  It's a victory for freedom of speech in the public streets.  You can get the full story here, and if you want to talk about freedom of speech or "Robin Hooding" (saving people from parking tickets), on your show - reach out to me via the contact information below.

Welcome to WLOB in Portland, ME and more!   WLOB-AM/FM in Portland is replacing the exiting Herman Cain with Free Talk Live. Now that the longtime AM talker is heard on FM, program director JJ Jeffrey wanted to make his nights sound younger, so he wisely turned to Free Talk Live.  Even though we've been syndicated for twelve years, we're still one of the youngest shows in syndication, with hosts ranging from their mid-forties down to as young as eighteen.  WLOB is now airing FTL six nights per week, live.

In addition, our existing affiliate WDNG-AM in Anniston, AL adds an FM translator and expands FTL to weeknights.  Plus, other existing affiliates that have recently added FM translators include KBUR in Burlington, IA and WCLO in Janesville, WI.  You can find our full list of over 150 affiliates here.

Overnight America Ending

Westwood One's other overnight show is done as of this weekend.   Some stations have been scrambling for programming this month after being informed that multiple shows are ending syndication.  I've reported already on Herman Cain, Jonathon Brandmeier, and the John Batchelor Weekend shows ending.  Just after I'd sent my previous email, I learned that Overnight America will also be done at the end of 2016.  Stations that have been looking for a solution to filling overnights probably already know their choices are slim, so you are welcome to delay broadcast Free Talk Live.  As an issues-and-caller focused show, we stay fresher longer than other talk shows and will give your listeners an alternative to the barren syndicated overnight field.

Quote from an Industry Pro

"Free Talk Live is the only show we have on the air that defies all conventional political labels. It's witty, fresh, intriguing and sometimes completely outrageous...but always good radio." - Steve Hexom, PD of KBUR-AM/FM
