Lesson 2089: The Greatest Gift

God promised Abraham that our Savior would be a Jew, not a Gentile.

God promised that our Savior would come from the tribe of Judah and the family of David.

God promised that our Savior would be born of a virgin in Bethlehem, the city of David.

The Old Testament contains over 300 specific prophecies about the Messiah.

They were all literally fulfilled by only 1 person in history: Jesus Christ.

What makes the birth of Christ so special? Why is He different from every other baby?

Jesus Christ is God’s only begotten Son. He became flesh to offer salvation to all people.

Many people celebrate Christmas without Jesus. They have no idea who Jesus is.

Christians understand the meaning of Christmas; if we don’t tell our neighbors, who will?

At the first Christmas, God came to us in Christ.

This is what separates Christianity from all other religions: our God seeks us.

Because Christ came to us, we can come to God, with the comfort that our sins are forgiven.

That is the greatest Christmas gift we can ever receive.
