19th Annual NYE Eagle Rise
Saturday, December 31 from 11:00pm-1:00am

Join us in downtown Tamaqua for the 19th annual New Year's Eve Eagle Rise at the ABC Tamaqua Hi-Rise. Count down to 2017 as the lighted eagles make their way to the top of Tamaqua's tallest building. The block of Broad St will be closed to traffic for everyone to enjoy the festivities.

The Revive Community Fellowship will be offering hot chocolate and popcorn.

This free community event is hosted by the Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce. Lights and sound by Frank Fabrizio. Many thanks to the Tamaqua Borough, Tamaqua Police Department, Tamaqua Fire Police, and ABC Hi-Rise for their support and cooperation.
A very happy, healthy, and prosperous 2017 to all of our members and subscribers!
HOLIDAY LIGHT APPEAL 2016
Help Keep the Lights On

The hustle and bustle of the holiday season is upon us. As part of the holiday season, the downtown area again will be decorated with beautiful wreaths and lights. The Chamber continues to support this event by paying for the up keep and a portion of the electricity used for Christmas decorations. As in the past, the Chamber is asking for donations from local businesses, industries, and residents to be able to keep this annual tradition and keep downtown Tamaqua luminous during the Holiday season.

In appreciation for your support, the Chamber will list the names of the sponsors for the lights in our weekly Chamber Chatters unless you prefer to make an anonymous donation.

Please help us continue this project and make your checks payable to the Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce. You can mail your check to: 37 West Broad Street, Suite 101, Tamaqua, PA 18252, or drop off during business hours.

As in the past, we thank you all for your support and generosity for this very special project.

The Officers, Board of Directors, and Staff of the Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce wish you a Joyous Holiday Season and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

HOMETOWN HERO BANNER PROGRAM 2017
Following the popularity of the 2013 banner program, The Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce a new banner program for 2017. The new Hometown Heroes program is intended to honor any local hometown hero who has provided beneficial service to the Tamaqua area. These heroes may include first responders, organization volunteers, civic leaders, active military, veterans, and may be living or deceased.

There was a waiting list from the 2013 banner program, and those people are being contacted first. The remaining banners will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

Anyone who currently has a banner on display, please contact the chamber to let us know if you'd like to keep the banner when it is taken down. We are also looking into the possibility of displaying those banners in local buildings for anyone who does not wish to keep their banner.

Please see the chamber's web site for more information:
