Welcome to the monthy roundup of news, campaigns and diary dates from BiPhoria.

       Rainbow Flag creator dies

We start with the sad news of the death of Gilbert Baker, who invented the rainbow flag. What a remarkably far-reaching act it was. Internationally known some forty years on as a signal of LGBT community or support.

More about that news story here.

Pride Season Begins With Bury!

Bury has had a walking pride' but this year it gets bigger with an event at the town hall.

It's on Saturday 8th April. We'll be there with a stall full of bi goodies, drop on by and say hello.  Facebook event about that here.

Will Manchester Fly the Flag?

On the subject of flags, it was sad that Manchester Town Hall let Bi Visibility Day go unmarked once again last September, while places like Leeds and Brighton showed their support.

We've set up a petition on the city council website for that to change in 2017 - we know some readers of these bulletins live far away but if you're local, please add your name and encourage bi-friendly-friends to do the same!  Sign it here (and share it online!)
