Happy New Year!!  2017 is going to be happy and prosperous for all of us!!

REPEAT 2011 PREMIUM SHIRAZ OFFER
Late last year we offered our 2011 Premium Shiraz at a crazy price - reduced from $300 to $200 for a dozen (including a bottle of Rosemary Infused Oil). Over 30 Blacklea members took up the offer, a great result for everyone!

To start the year with an impact, we're repeating the offer (for the months of January and February). Where could you buy a 6-year old
Premium Shiraz (which also won Mudgee's Silver Medal) for just $16 a bottle?  To sweeten the offer, we'll include a bottle of our Picholine (French) Extra Virgin Olive Oil and of course, delivery is complimentary.   


2015 & 2016 NYU SEMILLONS - "NOT YOUR USUAL" SEMILLONS
The immediate taste is soft, almost sweet lemon. Then, after 4 or 5 seconds as you swallow, the flavour changes to 'passionfruit'. It's similar, but different to the popular 2015 vintage (which changed in flavour to Kaffir Lime as you swallowed). Both of these very popular wines sell for $240 a dozen, but for January & February, the price is also just $200, including a bottle our Picholine Extra Virgin Olive Oil.


NOTE:  If you would prefer, you could mix the two offers together. - a mixed dozen!

NEW in 2017 - CHILLI CARAMEL SAUCE
Over the Christmas break Gai and Nathan worked (to perfection) a NEW
Chilli Caramel Sauce which last night we drizzled over two sous vide/pan-fried pork chops. It has great lasting flavour giving the pork a wonderful finish with a hint of sweetness - but not too sweet or 'chilli hot'
We are now going to begin trial tasting it in the Cellar Door (in cute 100ml bottles) while Gai explores its vast potential. The price is expected to be $16.

MUDGEE'S CUDGEGONG VALLEY MOTEL - SPECIAL OFFER

During January, if you stay two or more nights at the Cudgegong Motel, Kristie & Ben Newman will arrange a free half day tour of some of Mudgee's top wineries. The motel is clean, courteous and central to all of Mudgee's action. It also has a swimming pool (essential for this weather). WHERE TO STAY IN DUBBO?
Gai and I recently stayed in Dubbo at the Country Leisure Motel (86 Cobra Street). All the rooms are super clean and designed each with a different innovative theme. It also has a pool! Louise and Craig were great hosts. Phone 02 6882 3988.

ALFRESCO LUNCHES
After a CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR break, Gai's Alfresco Lunches - every Saturday & Sunday (12 noon until 3pm) resumed (in air-conditioned comfort) two weekends ago!  The feedback from an almost full house was excellent.
Bookings are not necessary, but are preferred.
