Shimmering Calligraphy Course - LFE Library

A Shimmering Calligraphy Course held over four Thursdays in February and March 2017.

There are four classes on Thursday evenings from 7.00pm to 9.00pm – starting 23rd February 2017 through to 16th March 2017.
£18 per class or £60 for all four if you book them together.

The course will be held at Leicester Forest East Library, Leicestershire. LE3 3LH. Easy to find with easy parking.

Shimmering Calligraphy Course - Wistow

A Shimmering Calligraphy Course held over four Fridays in February and March 2017.

There are four classes on Friday afternoons from 2.00pm to 4.00pm – starting 24th February 2017 through to 17th March 2017.
£18 per class or £60 for all four if you book them together.

NOTE: all pupils that have previously completed the course and want to continue onto other script styles and further your knowledge are more than welcome to come book on and I will work with your individual requirements.

The course will be held at the Artshed (part of the Wistow Gallery) in Wistow, Leicestershire. Easy to find with lots of free parking.

Modern Calligraphy in Market Harborough

28th February 2017,  7:00 pm - 9:30 pm  £30

Try your hand at this increasingly popular style of Modern Calligraphy. Ideal for all those personal touches to your hand crafted cards and gifts, or generate your own unique design.

The course includes a nib holder, nib, practice lines, letters and paper. Other items to help you flourish at calligraphy will be available on the day.

Beginners Modern Calligraphy at Strelley Hall in Nottingham

Saturday 11th March 10:00am to 1:00pm

Learn about the history of calligraphy and how to correctly hold and generate the strokes needed to create this lovely script.Finish the workshop by producing a final piece of your choice, demonstrating all that has been learned during the session.

The course will cost £30.00 to include all materials, use of tools and teas / coffees throughout the day.

If you have attended one of these workshops previously then you will be eligible for a 10% discount on this course

Beginner’s Classic Round Hand (also called Foundational) is the first script you learn to understand calligraphy techniques. Holding the chisel nib at the correct angle and learning how to construct the letters using different strokes helps you understand that calligraphy is about ‘constructing and forming the letters’ not writing..

The course will cost £30.00 to include all materials, use of tools and teas / coffees throughout the day.

Try your hand at this ever increasingly, popular move-on of Copperplate. Ideal for all those personal touches to your cards and stationery. Pen, nib and style sheet all included in the price for this terrific calligraphy starter lesson. Other items will be available to buy if you want them on the day.

Classes will be 10-1pm or 1.30-4.30pm – £30 per person

Gold Leaf Course Illuminated Letter in Leicester

Saturday 8th April 2:00pm to 5:00pm

A day to learn the art of illumination using gilding techniques and real gold leaf. Create a single initial letter and enhance it with vibrant colours or calligraphy.

Gold leaf, glue, brushes and paper are all provided. There will be lots of extras available to buy on the day.

Light refreshments are included, but don’t forget to bring your own lunch as we will be having a 1/2 hour break to relax a little.
