Brattleboro Time Trade in 2017

TTers, come to the planning session for our annual meeting!

Brattleboro's Time Trade is more important than ever.  We'll soon gather at our annual meeting to plan at how we can further strengthen and support our community, increase member involvement in the support of new and existing members, review our past year's activity, plan out the next year, and look beyond into our future!

If you'd like to help brainstorm out the structure and focus of Brattleboro Time Trade's Annual Meeting, please come to Brattleboro Savings and Loan tomorrow, Thursday, January 12th.  Please plan to arrive at 5:30 p.m., and we'll begin the meeting at 5:45 p.m. to allow for some chatting and connecting time before we begin.

The BTT Board will be there, as well as members like you, who'd like to help with planning and key tasks.

Food will not be provided, but folks are very welcome to bring snacks. And, of course, bring your great ideas, your know-how, and your readiness to pitch into the efforts!

The coordinator-suggested agenda for this planning meeting is as follows:

  • Articulate/review the goals for our annual meeting.
  • Brainstorm out the general structure and flow of the annual meeting.
  • Identify needs and key tasks.
  • Set follow up meetings/deadlines for key event member and board members volunteers.
Thanks to Philip Coolbeth for reserving the space for us at BS&L!

*Special Note: SAVE THE DATE! Instead of keeping the usual end of January date, we'll be holding our annual meeting on Sunday, February 26th, from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Marlboro Grad Center.
This push to February is to allow our board more time to fully articulate board roles and duties, lay some groundwork for board recruitment, and begin planning a future board retreat. There is an additional pressing need to focus on the smooth transition off of the board of our wonderful Board Treasurer
, Paula Schwartz, as her term has ended.  She has played a vital and stabilizing role in the organization, and this is a critical time for us to work on documenting her efforts and shoring up the future strength and sustainability of BTT as we work with her to finalize budgets, file taxes, transition systems, and actively seek out a new Board Treasurer, as well as key volunteers to take on bookkeeping tasks.  We see this effort as a key step toward applying for additional grant funding.
